49ers' Brandon Aiyuk saga nears resolution, with several teams expressing interest in trade

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk requested a trade from the team on Tuesday, and multiple teams have already reached out to the 49ers to express interest in acquiring the 25-year-old.

The 49ers have been reluctant to trade Aiyuk, but they may be willing to do so if they can get a good return for him. Aiyuk is entering the final year of his rookie contract and is set to make $1.4 million in 2023. He is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent in 2024.

Aiyuk had a breakout season in 2021, catching 56 passes for 826 yards and five touchdowns. However, he struggled in 2022, catching just 34 passes for 494 yards and two touchdowns.

The 49ers are hoping to get back to the Super Bowl in 2023, and they believe that Aiyuk can be a key part of their offense. However, if they can get a good return for him, they may be willing to trade him to a team that is willing to pay him more money.

The trade deadline is November 1st, so the 49ers and Aiyuk's agent have plenty of time to work out a deal. However, if they can't come to an agreement, Aiyuk could be traded before the season starts.
