Spring Valley Starts Strong in High School Softball Season; SC-Ripley Game Postponed
Spring Valley Softball Team's Impressive Start
The Spring Valley Vikings softball team began their season with a bang, defeating George Washington High School 8-0 in their season opener.
Sophomore pitcher Jada Holland threw a complete-game shutout, striking out eight batters and allowing only two hits.
Offensively, the Vikings were led by junior catcher Carmella Casazza, who went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.
SC-Ripley Game Postponed
The scheduled softball game between South Charleston High School and Ripley High School was postponed due to inclement weather.
The game will be rescheduled for a later date.
