City of Plainfield to Host Saturday Workshop on PILOT Tax Exemptions
Plainfield Residents Can Learn About Property Tax Exemptions
The City of Plainfield will host a workshop on Saturday, March 4, 2023, to educate residents about the Payment In Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) program. The workshop will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Plainfield Municipal Building, located at 515 Watchung Avenue.
The PILOT program provides tax exemptions to certain non-profit organizations, including religious institutions, schools, and hospitals. The program is designed to encourage these organizations to locate and operate within the city.
